Sussex Beard Oil Merchants is seeking a part-time/casual individual to coordinate our social media. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your social media skills and grow with our company. We are looking for people who are eager to learn and have lots of ideas on how to fit into our organization. You should be able to create quality content after the initial training period is over. We will provide all the necessary tools and resources to help you succeed.

We are looking for someone who is creative, a talented creator and wants to learn more about social media and digital marketing. This is an independent position that requires you to work from home and occasionally attend events.

You will be tasked with planning, creating, publishing new content (including original text, images, video) on a daily basis that builds meaningful customer connections, increases brand awareness and encourages community members to engage with the our brand.

Ideally you have:

  • Experience with posting content to platforms like Facebook, Instagram & TikTok.
  • Are detail oriented and a creative writer.
  • Have some experience in or are willing to learn how to use Photoshop and post scheduling tools.
  • An interest in learning, experimenting and growing your design and social media skills.

You might be a good fit if you are:

  • A great communicator with strong spelling and grammar.
  • Consider yourself a little quirky, and like to have fun while you work. A sense of humor is important.
  • Have 2-5 hours per week to dedicate to coordinating our social media.
  • Not afraid to bring new ideas and suggestions to the table.
  • Have access to a computer and be available for the occasional Zoom meeting.
  • Are able to travel to our shop (in Sussex, NB) and local events from time to time.

You'll have access to our software and tools which allow you to create and schedule social media posts ahead of time. This way you can work around your existing schedule and commitments.

Salary: $13.00-$16.00 per hour
